1994 ICC Trophy
The ICC Trophy 1994 was the qualifying tournament of the non-test nations for the Cricket World Cup 1996. The tournament was held between 12 February and 6 March 1994, Kenya. Winners were the United Arab Emirates that could prevail in the final against hosts Kenya with two wickets. Furthermore, the Netherlands qualified for the World Cup.

Format
The 20 teams were divided into four preliminary round groups of five teams. The respective group winners and runners- qualified for the second round. This was again divided into two groups, this time with four teams each. The respective group winners and runners- qualified for the semifinals, the winners of the finals and the losers fought out the game for 3rd place. The two finalists and the winner of the game for 3rd place qualified for the World Cup. The teams that were eliminated in the first round played in a two-part group system from further placements.
