1996 UEFA Futsal Championship
The first European Futsal Championship 1996 was held from 8th to 14th of January in Córdoba ( Spain). At the tournament took part six teams that competed first in groups and then in the knockout system against each other. The title was won, the host team of Spain.

Qualification
Venues
The European Championships was held at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes Vista Alegre, Cordoba. It can accommodate 4,000 spectators.
Participant
At the 1996 European Championships six teams participated, Spain qualified automatically as hosts. To the remaining 5 places struggled in qualifying total of 17 nations were divided into three groups, the first two teams in each group were given a room for the final round.
