Russia national futsal team

The Russian futsal team is a representative selection of Russian futsal player. The team represents the Russian Football Union in international encounters. The selection is one of the strongest teams in Europe, in 1999 the team became European Champion.

Performance in tournaments

Russia took previously participated in all seven European Championships. They celebrated the greatest success in 1999 when they defeated Spain in the final 4-2 on penalties. 1996 and 2005 they lost each of Spain in the final, in 2001 and 2007, it was em - third.

For World Cup finals under the auspices of FIFA, the national team qualified four times. In the first participation in 1992 did not come on the first round also.
