2003 UEFA Futsal Championship

The 4th European Futsal Championship 2003 was held in Italy from the 17th to February 24th. At participated in this tournament 8 teams who entered first in groups and then in the knockout system against each other. The title was won for the first time the host team in Italy.

Qualification

Venues

The EM was held for the first time in two different venues. The main venue was the Palamaggio in Caserta, in the next two preliminary groups and the semi-finals and finals were played. It has a capacity of 8,000 spectators.

The Palazzetto dello Sport in Aversa served as a second venue. It served as a venue for the two preliminary round groups. The palazzetto also has 8,000 spectator seats.

Participant

At the 2003 European Championship eight teams participated, Italy qualified automatically as hosts. To the remaining seven places fought a total of 28 nations were divided into seven groups, with only the group winners were given a room for the final round.
