2005 UEFA Futsal Championship

The 5th European Futsal Championship 2005 was held from February 14 to 20 in Ostrava (Czech Republic). At participated in this tournament eight teams that competed first in groups and then in the knockout system against each other. The title was won for the third time the team of Spain.

Qualification

Venues

The European Championships were held in two different venues in Ostrava. The main venue was the ČEZ Aréna, in the next two games of the preliminary round groups, the semi-finals and finals were played. It can accommodate 10,000 spectators.

The Hala Sareza served as a second venue. In the hall two group matches were held.

Participant

At the 2005 European Championships eight teams participated, Czech Republic qualified automatically as hosts. To the remaining seven places fought a total of 33 nations. In the first round, seven teams played with the worst UEFA coefficients in two groups against each other. The group winners went on to the next round where they were drawn together with the 26 remaining teams in seven groups of four. The group winners who qualified for the finals.
