The NFL 1997 season was the 78th season of American Football in the National Football League ( NFL). The regular season began on August 31, 1997 and ended on 22 December 1997.

The season ended with the Pro Bowl on February 1, 1998 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The playoffs started on 27 December 1997 and ran until 11 January 1998. The Denver Broncos won their first Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XXXII

The 32nd Super Bowl was played on January 25, 1998 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. In the final, the Green Bay Packers met the Denver Broncos.
