2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi 2009 took place on 1 November at the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island instead, and was the 17th and final race of the Formula 1 2009 season. Sebastian Vettel won his team-mate Mark Webber and the already prematurely as a world champion Jenson Button fixed.

Background

After the Brazilian Grand Prix Jenson Button led uncatchable at the drivers' standings with 15 points, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and 17 points ahead of Rubens Barrichello. Brawn -Mercedes also resulted in an unassailable lead in the constructors' championship with 25.5 points ahead of Red Bull-Renault and with 90 points ahead of McLaren - Mercedes.

Training
