2009 Nord LB Open

Nord / LB Open 2009 was a tennis tournament July 5th, 2009 was held from June 30 in Brunswick. It was the 16th edition of the tournament and part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2009. Played outdoors on red sand.

The individual competition was won by Óscar Hernández set at position three, the seventh position in the set Teimuraz Gabashvili defeated in three sets in the final. Hernandez won the year before on the side of Marco Crugnola the doubles competition. Both players competed in this year no longer in the doubles competition. The individual winner of the previous year, Nicolas Devilder, resigned this year out in the first round. In doubles, the top-seeded Johan Brunström and Jean -Julien Rojer were able to prevail in the final against the unseeded Brian Dabul and Nicolás Massú. They remained there during the entire tournament without dropping a set.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was an injury-related cancellation. The set of four Ivo Minář could not compete because of a back injury. For him, Carlos Poch Gradin enlisted as a lucky loser into the main draw.
