2011 Major League Baseball season
The MLB season 2011, the 110th season of Major League Baseball, was opened on March 31, 2011 and ended on 28 October 2011.
During the regular season, 30 teams battled each in 162 games for a place in the play-offs. The World Series 2011 started on 19 October 2011, and ended on 28 October 2011. Defending champions were the San Francisco Giants, the 2010 World Series were won.
The MLB All- Star Game 2011 was held on 12 July 2011 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona instead.
