2013 BBL-Pokal

The Beko BBL Cup 2013 was the 4th edition of the Cup competition in the German basketball club of men as the League Cup first basketball league. The organization of this competition is subject to the League Association of Basketball - Bundesliga and the German Cup winner determined in basketball club of gentlemen.

Mode

To qualify for this competition, the results were decisive in the first round of the National Basketball League in 2012/13. A new feature was introduced that the Bundesliga first round games of the Final Four host should not count for qualification, which is why a separate trophy table was introduced in which these games were not taken into account. In addition to the automatically qualified hosts the addition of six top-ranked teams this trophy table were qualified. The pairings were determined by drawing lots, which also ruled over the home right in the qualifying round. The winner or the next round in the competition was determined in the knockout system within a regular basketball game.

The winner of the competition was automatically qualified for the BEKO BBL Champions Cup at the start of the National Basketball League 2013/14.
