  • According to legend, hears the Bishop of Cologne St. Severin in the hour of death of St.. Bishop Martin of Tours for a walk the heavenly choir of angels. New bishop of Tours is Brictius.
  • Augustine of Hippo published the first three books of his De doctrina christiana hermeneutic plant ( From the Christian doctrine ), which is however only translated in the 12th century and finds recording. This is written against the practice of " witchcraft " for the first time a book.
