50th Berlin International Film Festival

The 50th International Film Festival took place between February 20, 2000 February 9.

The anniversary Berlinale has been heavily influenced by the move to the Potsdamer Platz. The Theater am Potsdamer Platz, where the remainder of musicals are played, was renamed for the time of the Berlinale in " Berlinale Palast " and venue for all premieres of the competition. Panorama section

The Panorama Audience Award this year received the French film Uneasy Rider ( Nationale 7 ) by Jean -Pierre Sinapi. The Prize of the Ecumenical Jury awarded the film Botin de guerra by David Blaustein. Other outstanding productions in the Panorama program were: Salt Water by Conor McPherson, Echo of Frédéric Roullier Gall and the guilt of Krzysztof Krauze.

Honorary Golden Bear

The Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement was awarded the French actress Jeanne Moreau. She was also honored with a retrospective of her best films.
