Andrew Selby

Andrew Selby ( born December 25, 1988 in Barry ) is a Welsh boxer.

Career

Andrew Selby began with his brother Lee Selby, who was to be Welsh champion later as he was, as a teenager with the boxes. He belongs to the association Splott Adventure ABC and is coached by Pat Mahoney and Keith Jeffries. His role model is his Welsh compatriot Joe Calzaghe.

In youth football, he won between 2002 and 2006 the Welsh Cup in the students, the cadets and juniors. He was also British champion at the Cadets in 2005 in the paper weight with a win over Leigh Wood and brititscher champion in the junior flyweight in 2006 with a win over S. Cox.

2007 Andrew Selby was Welsh flyweight champion with a demolition victory over Keith Spong for the first time.
