Annely Peebo

Annely Peebo ( born November 16, 1971 in Viljandi ) is an Estonian opera singer (mezzo- soprano).

Annely Peebo graduated from the Tallinn Music High School ( Tallinna Muusikakeskkool ). She studied piano and choral conducting. From 1990 to 1994 she was a singer of the renowned Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir ( Eesti Filharmoonia Kammerkoor ).

Peebo studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna singing with Professor Gerhard Kahry and the opera singer Curt Malm. In 1997 she made ​​her debut in "Rigoletto" at the Vienna State Opera and was starting this year, a regular cast member of the Vienna Volksoper. Since 2005, Annely Peebo works freelance.

Peebo has sung in her music career many prominent operatic roles, including the Hermia in Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", the Mercedes in Bizet's "Carmen", Dorabella in Mozart's " Cosi fan tutte ", Cherubino in " Le Nozze di Figaro " and the Donna Elvira in " Don Giovanni ".

2002 moderated Annely Peebo together with the Estonian singer and actor Marko Matvere the Euro Vision Song Contest in Tallinn.

The singer has a close reference to Austria and in 2008 was the final of the statewide election Austria Next Top Model Model of the jury.
