Antrim (Borough)

Antrim ( Irish: Aontroim ) is one of the 26 Districts in Northern Ireland. The District, whose territory lies in the traditional county of Antrim, was established in 1973 and has the status of a Borough since 1977. It comprises the northern and eastern shores of Lough Neagh. Significant places in the Borough are Antrim, Toomebridge, Crumlin, Randalstown, Parkgate and Templepatrick. Belfast Airport is also within the Borough.
