Baiyun District, Guangzhou

Baiyun (Ch白云 区, Baiyun Qū ) is a district of the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, China. It is located in the north of Guangzhou and adjacent to the town Huadu District. The name Baiyun received the Municipality of the same name Baiyun Mountain (白云 山).

Currently, no data on area and population Baiyuns, because if an administrative reform on 28 April 2005 larger parts Baiyuns were issued to municipalities and Yuexiu Luogang. Previously Baiyun had an area of 825 km ² and about 870,000 inhabitants ( 2001).

Located in Baiyuns road district Sanyuanli place of, British Bezwinger' Corps in Sanyuanli (三元里 平 英 团 遗址, Sanyuanli pingyingtuan Yizhi ) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.

Infrastructure

Baiyun is the location of the international airport of Guangzhou.

Through the municipality runs a highway, which connects the airport with the city center.
