The Bond University, although it was founded only in 1987, the first private university in Australia. The campus is located in Robina, a suburb of the city of Gold Coast in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland. The state capital Brisbane is located about 65 km north-west, the Pacific Ocean about 3 km east of the campus.

The university was founded in 1987 by Australian entrepreneur Alan Bond and got her status as a university by a separate law awarded the Bond University Act 1987 of Queensland. 1989 began 322 persons their studies at the university, which now includes about 3,800 people. A special feature is the high internationality. Almost half of the students do not come from Australia. Comparing the number of international students with those of other Australian universities, Bond University is well above the average.

In 2008, the university cut in an investigation by the Good Universities Guide in different areas with the best comment. The course can be taken three times a year, as the semester break is either reduced or completely omitted. Courses start in January, May and September. Overall, the Bond University has four faculties, one institute and one college. Among the four specialist areas include Business and Information Technology, Health Sciences and Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences and Law. The Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture is composed of two schools where you can study sustainable development and architecture. The Bond College allows lateral entry. This lack of language skills in English and other skills can be acquired.
