Borough of Wokingham
Wokingham is a unitary authority and borough in the county of Berkshire in England. The administrative center is the city of Wokingham; significant sights are Earley, Finchampstead and Twyford.
The local authority was established on 1 April 1974 as Wokingham Borough and was born from the merger of the old Borough of Wokingham and Wokingham Rural District. As the County of Berkshire was disbanded on 1 April 1998, the Borough was granted the status of a unitary authority.
