Brandon Rush

Brandon Leray Rush (born 7 July 1985 in Kansas City, Missouri ) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the Utah Jazz in the NBA under contract.

Career

College

Rush played college basketball for the University of Kansas. In his freshman season ( his first season at this College ) where he started every game as a small forward. He was able to record 13.5 points and 5.9 rebounds this season and became the first freshman ever to be elected to the First Team All- Big 12. The next player featured on the list was Kevin Durant for the Texas Longhorns. He had participated in the 2007 NBA Draft, but injuries prevented him from. So he remained in Kansas. After his return to the starting five after the injury, he won with his team the NCAA Championship Title in 2008.

NBA

When NBA Draft 2008 Rush was drafted at # 13 out of the Portland Trail Blazers, so selected to be traded shortly thereafter Jerryd Bayless and Ike Diogu for along with Jarrett Jack and Josh McRoberts to the Indiana Pacers.

On December 19, 2011 Rush was traded for Louis Amundson to the Golden State Warriors.

August 1, 2012 Rush extended his contract by two years. He suffered on November 2, 2012 game against the Memphis Grizzlies a serious injury that made him turn out for the rest of the season. On July 10, 2013, was transferred together with Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins to the Utah Jazz.
