Bubba Gump Shrimp Company

The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is a seafood restaurant chain, which was inspired by the movie Forrest Gump in 1994.

Founded in 1996 by Viacom Consumer Products and Rusty Pelican Company, it was probably the first inspired by a movie restaurant chain. There are already 36 branches (as of 2012), 26 of them in the United States, two in Mexico, three in Japan, one in the Philippines, one in Indonesia, one in China and two in Malaysia, where the known as Kuala Lumpur Sunway branch in Petaling Jaya is located.
