C. Meyer Zulick

Conrad Meyer Zulick ( born June 3, 1839 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, † March 1, 1926 in Asbury Park, New Jersey ) was an American politician (Democratic Party) and 1885-1889 Governor of the Arizona Territory. He is known for the reintroduction of the Mormon vote in Arizona Territory.

Zulick studied law and was admitted to the Bar of New Jersey in 1860. During the Civil War he was colonel in the Union army. Later he decided to pursue a political career. He ran in 1885 for the governorship in Arizona Territory, was elected and held the office until 1889. During the time he was instrumental in the establishment of a dam and water in irrigation projects throughout the state of Arizona. He also signed the decision to move the capital from Prescott to Phoenix today. After his time as governor in 1890, he was a member of the Council of the Arizona Territory. He died on March 1, 1926 in Asbury Park, and was buried in Easton.
