Cameco Corporation is a Canadian company based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The company in the form of a joint-stock company is listed on the financial index S & P / TSX 60 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Cameco is the world's largest producer of uranium.
Cameco was formed in 1988 through the merger of Eldorado Mining and Refining Limited ( later better known as Eldorado Nuclear) and the Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation ( SMDC ).
Cameco operates either alone or jointly with other companies with various uranium mines in Saskatchewan and one refinery for uranium enrichment and a uranium conversion plant located in Ontario.
The company has implemented approximately 2.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2011.
