Canoeing at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's K-1 1000 metres
The Canoe Competition in One - kayak 1000 meters for men ( short name: K1 1,000) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on 6 and 8 August 2012 at the Dorney Lake. 22 athletes participated.
The competition began with three heats. Play the first five canoeists qualified for the semifinals. Then there was the time fastest sixth place finisher. The other kayakers dropped out.
In the semifinals, the first four athletes qualified for the final A, the other for the final B with which the courts have determined 9 to 16.
The directly qualified canoeists are light green, highlighted the sixth fastest time placed light blue.

In his fourth Olympics, the Norwegian Eirik Veras Larsen picks up his second gold. His first gold medal he won in this discipline in 2004. There are also a silver medal in 2008 and a bronze medal in 2004 in the double kayak over 1,000 meters.
