Carmen Jordá

Carmen Jordá (born 28 May 1988 in Alcoy ) is a Spanish automobile racing driver. She ran in 2012 and 2013 in the GP3 Series.

Career

Jordá began her motorsport career in karting in 1998, where she was active until 2003. 2005 Jordá gave her formula racing debut in Formula Master Junior, which she finished in seventh place. In 2006, she remained in this series and was ninth. She also competed in two races this season at the Spanish Formula 3 Championship. 2007 moved Jordá completely in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship. With a twelfth place as best result they remained in their debut season with no points. Since it launched in an older vehicle model, they also took part in the Copa- rating, which she completed in fourth place, in part.

2008 Jordá remained in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship and went on for Campos Racing. With a ninth place as best result she took the end of the season as the worst pilot of her team 22 overall, while her teammate Germán Sánchez won the championship. In the Copa- rating, which decided her teammate Natacha Gachnang for themselves, Jordá was eighth. 2009 Jordá occurred for various teams in the championship, which was called from this season European F3 Open, at. A ninth place was once her best result and it was 21 in the championship. In the Copa rating she finished sixth. In addition Jordá was launched in 2009 to three races of the Le Mans Series in the LMP2 class.

2010 moved Jordá in the North American Indy Lights to Andersen Racing. She participated in five out of thirteen races and finished the season with a tenth place as the best result of 16th in the driver standings. After they had participated in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo 2011, she was awarded for the 2012 season a cockpit at Ocean Racing Technology in the GP3 Series. Jordá thus became the first woman who took part along with Vicky Piria and Alice Powell on a GP3 race. Jordá had no points and ended the season in 28th place overall. 2013 remained Jordá in the GP3 Series and switched to Bamboo Engineering. There they replaced Roberto La Rocca, who before the season starts lost his cockpit after an uncertain sponsorship. In contrast to their team mate Lewis Williamson and Melville McKee, the podium placings were achieved, remained Jordá without points. She was 30th in the driver standings.
