The Carnival Conquest (German conquest ) is a cruise ship of Carnival Cruise Lines. The eponymous lead ship of the Conquest - class is the 19th construction of the shipping company and was built by Fincantieri in Italy.
The Carnival Conquest is a further development of the Destiny class. Her sister ships are slightly different in the equipment, cabins and surveying. All vessels have a diesel-electric drive, which transmits an output of 2 x 20 MW fixed pitch propeller. The current is generated by six diesel generators with a total output of 63,360 kW.
Areas of application
By November 2013, the Carnival Conquest from Galveston in Texas is used for the Western Caribbean. After that they travel on the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Miami.
Incidents
On 16 December 2002 suffered passengers on nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The cruise line was assumed that there is a genus of norovirus. The pathogen had spread explosively in recent months.
