The Carnival Freedom (German Freedom) is a post -Panamax cruise ship in the American company Carnival Cruise Lines. It was found to be 22 new construction project of the fleet and last ship of the Conquest - class service.

History

Construction and commissioning

On 1 October 2004, the American tourism company Carnival Corporation & plc ordered the fifth and last cruise ship of the " Conquest " class. The Carnival Freedom is the only ship of this series, which was created at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, near Venice. After completion and handover on 27 February 2007, the ship was christened on 4 March 2007 in Venice by actress Kathy Ireland. On 5 March 2007, the Carnival Freedom ran out on her maiden voyage.

Use

After the commissioning of the Carnival Freedom was used during the summer months from its European base port of Civitavecchia in the western and eastern Mediterranean. In autumn and winter the ship sailed the Caribbean Sea from the base ports of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

In the following years the Carnival Freedom was year round installation in the Caribbean.

Cabins and onboard facilities

Like all ships of the company, the Carnival Freedom was designed and created to a large extent by Joseph Farcus. The theme of the ship is described as "time travel through the centuries ." The ship has 1,487 cabins, including 52 suites. The percentage of outside cabins is about 62%.

In regular revamps the ship was also equipped with the "Seaside Theatre ", a nearly 25 -square-foot LED screen. It is located on the pool deck and is used to view movies, On-board events and a variety of information to transmit.
