Cesano Maderno

Cesano Maderno is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 37 374 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy. The municipality is located on the eastern edge of the Parco delle Groane. Full civic rights of the community were awarded by presidential decree in 1999. The municipality is located away from the city center of Milan, about twelve kilometers northwest of Monza and about 20 kilometers north.

Cesano Maderno maintains an intra- Italian partnership with the municipality of Campo Maggiore in the province of Potenza and two other partnerships with the French commune in the Indre Valençay and with the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi in the Chernivtsi Oblast.
