César: Best Original Screenplay ( Meilleur scénario original)
Winners and nominees in the category Best Original Screenplay ( Meilleur scénario original). For the first time winner in this category ( official description Meilleur et scénario original dialogue) were chosen in the years 1983 to 1985, before it was re- introduced for the ceremony on 25 February 2006 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris with a changed name again. In the years 1976-1982 and 1986-2005 original screenplays and adapted screenplays ( film scripts based on another work such as a novel, a short story or another film ) had been awarded in the category Best Screenplay. A film qualifies in the award the previous year, when he was shown between January 1 and December 31, at least seven days in a public cinema in the region of Paris for a fee.
