Chūō-Sōbu Line

The Chūō - sobu Line (Japanese中央·総 武 缓行 线, Chūō sobu Kanko - sen) is part of the Network of East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in the prefectures of Tokyo and Chiba in Japan. It connects the cities of Mitaka and Musashino in the west and Chiba in the east with the north center of Tokyo and is next to the Yamanote Line one of the main arteries of the city. Most passengers are commuters.

The western part of the line of Mitaka to Ochanomizu, across the center of Tokyo, runs along the Chūō Main Line, but on their own tracks and platforms. While the Chūō - sobu line stops on this route at all stations, the Chūō Line runs on this route as Express, which stops only at every third station.
