Corridonia

Corridonia ( Curidògnia in the local dialect ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 15,490 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Macerata in the Marche region. The community, formerly Montolmo or Pausula (also: Pausola ) was called, was named after Filippo Corridoni, an intellectual and a revolutionary of the early 20th century. Since 1973 Corridonia bears the title Città (City). North of the village flows the Chienti, so the community is also part of the Valle del Chienti. The community is located about 8 kilometers southeast of Macerata and about 40 kilometers south of Ancona.

Traffic

North of the Strada Statale 77 Corridonia della Val di Chienti in an east-west direction is from Camerino Civitanova Marche. The station Corridonia - Mogliano on the non-electrified route from Macerata to Civitanova Marche is located about 5 kilometers north of Corridonia.

In Corridonia is an airfield for general aviation.
