Daniele Caimmi

Daniele Caimmi ( born December 17, 1972 in Jesi ) is an Italian long- distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

He finished seventh at the Maratona d' Italia and 1998, second in the Venice Marathon 1996. In 1999, he improved as the Thirteenth of the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:11:29 hours and arrived at the World Athletics Championships in Seville in 1999 to tenth place.

In 2000 he was national champion in the 10,000 m, but came at the Olympic Games in Sydney via the feed not get out.

The following year, he finished sixth at the Turin Marathon and third in the Venice Marathon. 2002 fourth places respectively followed at Roma - Ostia, at the Rome Marathon and at the European Athletics Championships in Munich and a third place at the Milan City Marathon with his personal record of 2:08:59.

Daniele Caimmi is 1,80 m tall and weighs 60 kg. A trained mechanic was initially trained by Romano Tordelli and then by Massimo Magnani and starts for Fiamme Gialle. Since 2004, he is married to his fellow runners Rosaria Console.
