David Desharnais

David Desharnais ( born September 14, 1986 in Laurier - Station, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2008 the Canadiens de Montréal in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

David Desharnais began his career as a hockey player with the Sagueneens de Chicoutimi, for which he was active from 2003 to 2007 in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. In the years 2005, 2006 and 2007, he won it three times in a row, the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the most exemplary player and 2007 was in addition appointed CHL Sportsman of the Year. In the season 2005/ 06 he was elected to the second all-star team of the QMJHL. Towards the end of the 2006/07 season signed Desharnais a sample contract with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, for in seven games, he scored a goal and an assist each to end of season in the American Hockey League.
