Dharug-Nationalpark

The Dharug National Park is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of New South Wales, 58 kilometers north of Sydney. It lies north of the lower reaches of the Hawkesbury River. In the west it is limited by the Macdonald River, in the northwest of Wight's Creek, a tributary of the Macdonald River, and the north- east and east of Mangrove Creek, a tributary of the Hawkesbury River.

The park was by the Dharug, a local Aboriginesstamm named. In the wilderness of sandstone mountains you will find many different types of habitats, such as Blue -gum eucalyptus forests, mountain forests, marshes, heathland and rainforest.

Many species of birds, such as Cockatoos, as well as wombats, snakes and other animals that can be observed in the park.
