Dimitris Siovas

Dimitris Siovas (Greek Δημήτρης Σιόβας, born September 16, 1988 in Drama ) is a Greek footballer who currently stands at Olympiakos Piraeus under contract. He plays as a defensive midfielder and can also be used in central defense.

Career

Association

He began his career as a junior at Siovas AO Xanthi. 2008, the first division side Panionios Athens secured the rights to the young defensive players. 3 January 2009 Siovas debuted in the first division against the AO Xanthi. In the second half of the season 2008/ 09 Siovas was loaned to second-division Ionikos Nikea. He returned in the summer of 2009 and was promoted soon become regulars.

Olympiakos Piraeus could take the national team in the summer of 2012 under contract.

National

In 2007, Dimitris Siovas debuted as a national player for the Greek U-19 national team. Due to its good performance at Panionios Athens, the Greek national team coach Fernando Santos called the player in August 2012 in the senior team. Siovas ran on 15 August 2012 at the friendly match against Norway the first time as A-National player.
