Dulce María Rodríguez

Dulce María Rodríguez ( Dulce María Rodríguez de la Cruz, born August 14, 1972 in Toluca ) is a Mexican long-distance runner.

National title she won in 2000 and from 2002 to 2005 on 1500 m and 1999 over 10,000 m.

In 2000, she came at the World Cross Country Championships on the 53rd place, resigned at the Olympic Games in Sydney about 5000 m in the run- off and finished at the World Half Marathon Championships in Veracruz 37th. The following year she was second in the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera and failed at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton about 5000 m in the first round.

In 2002, she came in at number 13 and won double gold above 1500 m and 5000 m in the Central American and Caribbean Championships at Osaka Women's Marathon. In 2004 she was second in the Paris Half Marathon and retired at the Olympic Games in Athens again over 5000 m in the flow. In 2005 she was the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera with the current course record of 2:29:00 h Mexican champion. At the World Championships in Helsinki she did not come over 5000 meters a second time on the preliminaries out and took the 10,000 m the 24th Place. In the New York City Marathon she placed 14th Place and in the Mazatlan Half Marathon the second.

In 2006, she was fifth at the Philadelphia Half Marathon and the Chicago Marathon Tenth, 2007 Third in the Stramilano and 2008, second in the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera and Fourth at the Berlin Half Marathon. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she ran the 10,000 m, a rank 27.

In 2009 she was the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera after the disqualification of the winners Margarita Tapia overall winner and Mexican champion, finished at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham the 21th Place and won the Puebla - marathon.
