Dülferstrasse (Munich U-Bahn)

Metro Station Dülferstraße in Munich is served by the U2 and opens up the eastern part of Hasenbergls and Panzerwiese.

From this station the Metrobus 60 proceeds toward Dessauer Strasse, the city bus 141 direction Scheidplatz and the night bus N42 towards Münchner Freiheit.

The station was built between March 1987 and October 1993, by Jürgen Rauch and designed the architecture firm Lanz. It stands out due to its colorful design of Ricarda Dietz and the Office lance from the other stations. The spatial structure is exceptional: the approaches initially focused on the western part, which has an underground mezzanine level in the form of a walk-in gallery. Through two light openings in the ceiling and a vertical breakthrough on the platform of natural light into the building.

To the east is the space above the platform to a large hall with vaulted ceiling and high center supports. The stained glass panels of Dietz create a serene atmosphere. The station was opened on 20 November 1993, was the terminus of line U2. In 2002, the Southeastern rise was opened to development area Panzerwiese.

Since 2008, there is a train station with direct access to the shopping center Mira.

The eponymous Dülferstraße is named after the mountaineer Hans Dulfer ( 1892-1915 ).
