Dwight Eugene Stephenson ( born November 20, 1957 in Murfreesboro, North Carolina ) is a former NFL center. He played for his college career (Alabama ) from 1980 to 1987 for the Miami Dolphins. Stephenson was chosen for its sporting achievements on several occasions offensive lineman of the Year and is considered the best center player of his time. Due to an injury on his left knee, he had to end his professional career in 1987. 1998 Stephenson went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
