Egypt at the 1996 Summer Olympics

Egypt participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the 19th time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of 29 athletes, of which 27 men and two were women. They started in 17 contests in eight sports. The youngest starter was the swimmer Rania El- Wani at 18 years and 280 days, the oldest was the shooter Mohamed Khorshed with 45 years and 271 days. When the teams march during the opening ceremony on 19 July 1996, the handball Hosam Abdallah wearing the Egyptian flag in the stadium.
