Elena Likhovtseva

Yelena Alexandrovna Lichowzewa (Russian: Елена Александровна Лиховцева; born September 8, 1975 in Alma- Ata, then the Soviet Union) is a former Russian tennis player.

Career

It was in January 1992 with 16 years of professional and represented Kazakhstan until 1994, although they recently already lived in Moscow.

Her best Grand Slam result in singles was the semi-finals of the French Open in 2005. It reached also at the 2004 Australian Open and the French Open, and in 2000 and 2004 at the U.S. Open each of the doubles final.

With Mahesh Bhupathi, she won at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships the Mixed Competition and reached there in 2006 the finals along with Daniel Nestor, with whom she also moved into the final of the French Open in 2003 and 2006.
