History

The coat of arms Karelo- Finnish SSR was introduced by the Government of the Karelo- Finnish SSR on 10 February 1941.

Description

The coat of arms has a round shape and consists mainly of the colors green, red and gold. In the upper part of a five-pointed, yellow edged red star is depicted, which is to represent the membership of the communism and the hand of the liberated people of the classless society.

From the viewer's left Pine branches entwine the center of the coat of arms, right Roggenähren. In the middle you can see golden hammer and sickle, which are symbolic of the communist state policy. Under this symbol you can see a rising sun. The impression is underscored by the sun's rays. It stands for the golden future of karelo - Finnish people. The sun rises over a typical Karelian landscape in which a raging river flows from the mountains. Links is a rock, seen to the right in the background a forest with tall, deep green trees.

The pines and the rye on the edge of the coat of arms are braided by a continuous red band with a white pattern of Karelian folk culture. On the tape stands in the middle of the emblem in capital letters in Finnish Suomalainen Karjalais - SNT, including in Russian Карело - Финская ССР ( " Karelian Bear SSR "). Left and right is on the tape in Finnish or Russian language the final sentence from the Communist Manifesto: " Prolatarier of all countries, unite!" ( Kaikkien maiden proletaarit, yhteen liittykää - Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь! ).
