Empoli
Empoli is a town with 47 912 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) of the Italian province of Florence, Tuscany.
Geography
Located on the Arno and Elsa city has an area of 62 km ². The population density is about 761 inhabitants / km ². It is located about 20 km west of the provincial and regional capital Florence.
The districts include Marcignana, Pagnana, Avane, Pontormo, Corniola, Monterappoli, Fontanella, Ponte a Elsa and Pozzale.
Neighboring municipalities are Capraia e Limite, Castel Fiorentino, Cerreto Guidi, Montelupo Fiorentino, Montespertoli, San Miniato ( PI) and Vinci.

- Collegiate Sant'Andrea of 1093, in the museum of Lorenzo di Bicci contains the works Crocifissione di Cristo ( panel paintings, created in 1399, comes from the Compagnia della Croce, also called Vesta Nera, the church of Santo Stefano in Empoli), Madonna con Bambino e Santi, Crocifissione di Cristo, Santi, Episodi della vita di San Martino, Sant'Andrea, Sant'Agata and San Giovanni Battista ( triptych panel painting) and San Tommaso riceve la cintura dalla Madonna assunta.
- In the center of the city at the Piazza Farinata degli Uberti, the marble fountain with four lions can be seen from the year 1827. He is by Luigi Pampaloni.
