The European Route 25 (abbreviated E 25 ) is a 2500 km long European road that runs north to south through the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and Italy. Beginning of the road to the north is on the North Sea at Hoek van Holland (Netherlands). The road ends in the south in Palermo (Italy).

Cities

Important cities located on the E 25, are the city of Luxembourg in the Netherlands, Utrecht, 's- Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven and Maastricht, Liège and Bastogne in Belgium and Luxembourg. Further south, follow along the route in France Metz and Saint- Avold, and Strasbourg and Mulhouse, just across the state line is reached Basel in Switzerland. More cities will be Olten, Bern, Lausanne on Lake Geneva and the city of Geneva. Back in France, Chamonix -Mont- Blanc is connected to the E 25 and south of the Alps to the Mont Blanc tunnel, continue to the territory of Italy. About Courmayeur, Aosta you can reach Genoa and Alessandria.

On the 1100 km long route from Genoa to Palermo are three different ferry across the Mediterranean part of the road. The first ferry leads to Bastia in Corsica, Bonifacio is accomplished from a further crossing Porto Torres on Sardinia, from there the road leads via Sassari to Cagliari. Finally, you can take the ferry to Palermo.
