FIBA Americas Championship
The basketball Americas Championship is organized by the FIBA Americas, the American Basketball Association, every two years in each of the odd-numbered years. In this tournament, the basketball teams play in America from their master. The America Cup is also a qualifying tournament for, depending on the discharge year, the Basketball World Cup or the Olympic Games.
The first America Cup was in 1980 in Puerto Rico instead. Reigning champion America is the Mexican national basketball team.
