FIL European Luge Championships 2010

The 42nd European Luge Championships were held on 23 and 24 January 2010 in Sigulda, Latvia. Organized by the Fédération Internationale de Luge de Course continental championships were held after 1996 for the second time in Sigulda. There were contests in single seaters for men and women, in the doubles, and men, and with the season. Apart from the last contest all championships were decided in two runs.

Women

Date: January 23, 2010 At the start, was 20 of 21 reported luger interior. The three German Olympic gymnasts as well as the Italians were not at the start.

Doubles Men

Date: January 23, 2010 At the start, was 16 of 16 reported doubles. The German and Italian Olympic pairs were not at the start.

Date: 24 January 2010 At the start, was 34 of 34 reported lugers. Not at the start were the Italian and German Olympic participants. Thus, the only remaining favorite Albert Demchenko was superior to secure the title for the second time after 2006.

Team Relay

Date: 24 January 2010 At the start, there were eight of eight Relay teams. Slovakia was disqualified after the first luge athlete.
