The name of the hamlet Count Reuth goes back to the family of the Barons of Gravenreuth ( for the first time in 1181 as " Mr. Frey of Gruinreuth " mentioned).

History

Raft was part of a Hohenstaufen Reichsguts and received in 1421 by his two lords, Margrave Friedrich of Brandenburg and Count Palatine Johann, a new market privilege. Since 1438/49 the rule was then raft in wittelsbachischer hand. It later belonged to in 1777 in Bavaria Wittelsbach -down Duchy of Neuburg -Sulzbach and later owned a market court magistrate own rights.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent municipalities mountain Nets Reuth, Gailertsreuth were incorporated ( with the eingemeindeten on April 1, 1949 Diepoltsreuth ), Beggars, Count Reuth, Schlattein and Schönbrunn.

Blazon: "In gold from blue waves growing a red crowned black eagle. " This coat of arms has been known since the 14th century.

Structures

  • Synagogue of raft in the street a mountain, built in 1817, destroyed during the pogrom of November 1938, after restoration since 1980 occasional place of worship for the Jewish community pastures
  • Jewish cemetery, in use since at least 1692 (the oldest decipherable grave stone). There are also 33 concentration camp victims are buried
  • Pilgrimage Church of St. Nicholas in the Nicholas Berg
  • Protestant parish church of St. John Baptist, in part from the 16th century
  • Catholic parish church of St. John the Baptist, built in the years 1910-1912
  • Local cemetery with the graves of 121 victims of Flossenbiirg

Regular events

Well above the finned boundaries known and popular event is the annual finned Kirwa ( fair ), which takes place every year on the fourth Sunday in August. (Actually, on August 24, the St. Bartholomew's Day ). The event itself will be held in alternate years between the Cylinder Club raft and the Rural Burschenverein Floss and environment.

Traffic

The station raft lay on the railway line Neustadt ( Waldnaab ) Eslarn. From here, chained in raft from the railway raft Flossenbiirg. Both routes are shut down. Next stop is passenger Neustadt ( Waldnaab ).
