Franka Dietzsch

Franka Dietzsch ( born January 22, 1968 in Wolgast ) is a German former discus thrower, who was world champion three times. She ended her career in 2009.
Life
Franka Dietzsch grew up in Koserow on Usedom, where she trained until 1981 at the local Army Community. She then attended the children 's and youth sports school in Rostock and launched until 1990 for the SC Empor Rostock.
Her first international success was the second place at the Junior World Championships 1986 in Athens in the discus. There they had to in the jersey of the GDR only her teammate Ilka Wyludda beaten. Then you get given the dominance of other East German discus throwers for years without success in international highlights. At the 1992 Olympic Games and the World Championships in 1991 and 1993 she participated without a front placement to achieve. At the 1995 World Championships she finished seventh.
Her big successes followed again until the late 1990s. From 1997 to 2001, she was always German champion. Her first international title at the senior level, they drove into Budapest at the European Championships in 1998. She was also 1998 World Cup winner.

Even with four other of her five litters she had beaten the silver and bronze medal winners Sadowa Natalia (RUS ) and Věra Pospíšilová - Cechlová (CZE ). Franka Dietzsch changed in 1990, when after the end of the GDR their Rostock coach Achim Müller was fired from SC Empor Rostock SC Neubrandenburg. There Dieter Kollark was her coach.
