Frankfurt ( Main) Galluswarte station is a suburban railway station in the west of the city center of Frankfurt am Main. It is located in the center of the district at the Gallus Gallus eponymous space observatory and one of the main public transport hub in the western inner city districts.

Equipment

The station belongs to category 4 station and was opened on 28 May 1978. It consists of two platform tracks at the Homburger Bahn, which lie at a 96 centimeters high and middle platform, and two drive-through tracks of the Main- Weser Railway. There comes a - now disused - branch from the main freight depot on track. At the south end of the station, the Main- Weser Railway shares in the ramps to the main station, the connection to the Main- Neckar line and the connection to the Taunus Railway.

Location

The station is in high position on the Günderrode road, ranging from the Mainzer Landstrasse to Frankenallee. About escalators of the platform over the two roads can be reached.

Connection

The station is serviced exclusively by S-Bahn lines S3, S4, S5 and S6. The intercity and regional trains go by on the Main- Weser Railway. Here are no platforms available.

Below the station, at the Mainzer Landstrasse, is the transit traffic in the there trains running tram lines 11 and 21 and the bus 52 via the transfer of the tram at the Galluswarte the western Gallus and the northern Griesheim to Frankfurt high-speed rail network are connected. Regarding station up (the next station fair is only 800 meters away) and densities clock runs the S-Bahn between main and Westbahnhof more like an inner-city subway as a suburban services serving S-Bahn.
