Gaspra

Gaspra (Ukrainian Гаспра, Russian Гаспра / Gaspra ) is a seaside resort in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

History

The composer Dmitri Dmitrievich Shostakovich stayed here in 1937 and composed while his 5th Symphony. Leo Tolstoy also lived there from 1901 to 1902. In the small village of Gaspra is particularly Sanatorium " Yasnaya Polyana" is important.

After the location of the asteroid (951) Gaspra is named.
