Gattatico

Gattatico is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located about 18 kilometers northwest of Reggio Emilia and about 8 kilometers east of Parma. The western boundary of the municipality of the province of Parma is the Enza. The administrative center of the municipality is located in the district Praticello. The municipality is part of the Unione Val d' Enza.

History

The district Taneto already existed in ancient Roman times as a municipium Tanetum.

Traffic

Through the village leads the Autostrada A1 from Milan to Rome via Bologna.

Gattatico maintains a partnership with the Hessian town of Grace Berg ( Germany ).
