German Shoe Road

The German shoe street is a tourism serving Theme Road in the southern Rhine Hessen and in the western Palatinate ( state of Rhineland -Palatinate). It runs as a round distance of more than 300 km of largely within the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest - Vosges du Nord, often on of scenic branch lines.

History

The German road shoe was created in 1977 by the Grand Pirmasens area, because there was the center of German shoe industry from the beginning of the 19th century. After the meantime, however, in the wake of globalization, many shoe factories were closed in Germany or have moved their production abroad, the German shoe street is only advertised reserved and belongs to the early 21st century to vacation road less known.

Attractions

Waters - East of Forest Fischbach Castle albums the Schwarzbach is touched with the Clausensee.
